New for 2023: Workshops!

Why?

My youngest son was 9 when he became critically ill, spending several years of his life in and out of Children’s Hospital Colorado in treatment for a rare leukemia. Miraculously he recovered, and grew to be a caring, thoughtful, funny young adult. During his second year at university he developed another rare cancer. Two years later, surrounded by his family, he left us.

During my son’s second illness, and while he was under hospice care at home, I discovered the ultimate grief therapy: making things.

I’d like to extend that “therapy” to you.

How?

Still Wood is offering 1-day or 3-day retreats at my mountain studio near Steamboat Springs, Colorado in collaboration with an art therapist.

You’ll find lodging in town, if you need it, and we’ll provide transportation from there.

My studio is near a natural hot spring, and the workshop price will include a soak.

Bring a family member, a friend, or anyone interested in working with death, dying and grief topics through art.
